Education

As an experienced Hair and Make-up Artist spanning 11 years my passion for hair and make-up developed from an early age. I fulfilled my dream by enrolling on a hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Course, furthering my creativity I went on to study Art at De-Montfort University, intending to knit these skills together I qualified in a HND in Hair and Make-up at the London College Of Fashion.

I have gained a wealth of experience over the years by constantly updating my skills in all aspects of my trade, as I feel this is an integral part of being a competent and contemporary Hair and Make-up Artist for my fashion and culture conscious clients.

Experience

My skills take me nationally in numerous Fashion, Film and Television projects such as a member of the Hair and Make-up team on Pride and Prejudice, Casonova, and Jim Henson film for CBS television to name but a few. In addition I contribute my talents to Commercials, Fashion, and award ceremonies. I also work for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and various other independent production companies.

My editorials include Cosmopolitan Bride, and various magazines such as Reveal.

My strong people person skills carried me well as the Make-up Artist at Ragdale Hall Health Hydro for a number of years.

I am also a professional MAC trained make-up artist, which has given me invaluable experience and keeps me constantly updated with current trends.

I also found working as a Media Hair and Make-up lecturer, very rewarding assisting other Hair and Make-up Artists to break into the industry.

Together with my broad hair and make-up skills base and wealth of experience my creativity is supported well by a strong technical skills base; I am able to offer expert help and advice covering hair maintenance, colour, cut and styles, that will compliment your features maximising your assets for the big day.

With my links to the natural health industry. I am able to refer and advise on the best products for your skin, Pre-wedding advice and a programme which will help improve your skin and nails during the weeks leading up to your wedding.

Experience has taught me that it is important to have a friendly warm and welcoming personality, so that the bride feels relaxed and confident in the Hair and Make-up Artist. I gain a lot of my work through word of mouth, which I think is the greatest compliment of all.

I use high quality professional cosmetics such as MAC, Bobbi Brown, Yves Saint Laurent, and Chanel. I am also able to use 100% organic: Larenim, (great for sensitive skin.)

Skin-care products are: Crème De La Mer, Decleor. Aveda. I also use Beautiful organic and 100% natural products such as: Jurlique', Living Nature, Lavera, Brown Earth and Burt's Bees.

Hairdressing

As a trained hairdresser, I can advise on cutting, colouring and styles which best suit your features.
