Join Face Time
To become a registered Face Time Artist we require the following:
- Professional training in hair styling and/or Makeup at a recognised training establishment.
- Relevant experience as a freelance hair and/or makeup artist.
- Able to offer Makeup and Hair Styling (working with another professional if required).
- A portfolio of bridal examples of your work and/or testimonials from clients.
- Minimum £2m Public Liability including Professional Treatment Risk Insurance (This is available from a number of specialist insurance brokers. For your info many of our members use Professional Beauty Direct - Call 01622 740040.

We are professional freelance hair and make-up artists who mainly specialise in television, film and fashion. All of us use the Face Time network to get important and highly paid bridal work as a backup to our usual income. Some Face Time Artists solely work in the Bridal Industry as the work has over powered any other jobs!
As you are probably aware there are some 327,000 weddings performed each year in the UK, spending on average £16,000 each. Currently this website receives over 1500 hits per week from bridal clients, generating on average 20-30 email and telephone enquiries per day nationally, and generally turn into around 5 bookings per week for weddings as far in advance as next summer.
To be part of the Face Time Network, I will require an initial payment of £85.00 to cover the design and implementation of your personal page on the website along with a monthly registration fee of £35.00. An email address is vital to the running of the network as 80% of leads come via the website. You will need to supply me with images of bridal hair and make-up examples you have done and also any testimonials you have from past clients and a brief profile of your experience and training.
Registering to the Face Time Network will save you hundreds if not thousands of pounds, as the small monthly registration fee from each artist is contributed towards a huge national advertising campaign, saving you the time, money and hassle of organising your own advertising locally. You will receive sales leads generated in your specified area.
Also the website offers each artist their own personal web page, which shows examples of their work and testimonials from their clients, this will save you hundreds of pound per year and the address can be added to business cards and marketing information for anyone to access directly. Also the page itself can be printed, to send as a leaflet to clients who do not have access to the internet.
We are always on hand for advice on business practice, invoicing and pricing, also the presentation of work in fact anything to help you benefit from what Face Time can offer. We also exhibit at many local and national wedding shows and this is a fantastic chance to meet up with all the registered artists to compare notes and get advice.
